The Comanche’s were a nomadic tribe of the southern plains. This sculpture shows a warrior wearing a bear skin headdress and robe, carrying a fur wrapped lance dangling with eagle feathers. He also carries his personal medicine given to him in a long ago vision quest by some guardian spirit. This is symbolised in the painting on his war shield
